A Note About Chris Rowley

Chris Rowley was born in 1950, and grew up in Middlefield, Ohio. Due to her father's influence she developed, at an early age, a deep kinship with nature, especially fish.

She attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, majoring in Geography and Geology.

Chris has been scuba diving for years and her favorite places for diving are Looe Key (in the Florida Keys), the Cayman Islands and Mexico. Her fish are all handmade from a combination of white stoneware and porcelain. The glazes are all original and the firing is high fire (cone 6) oxidation.

Chris currently lives in Florida and has gallery representation all throughout the United States, the Caribbean and Hawaii.
